About this website

This website has been developed by Rhonda Boyle, of Melbourne, Australia, the first person to import, from North America, a DS5.5® (7/8) keyboard for her grand piano. Its purpose is to raise awareness of significant problems relating to the 'one size fits all' approach to the piano keyboard, and to advocate change. The ultimate goal is for the major piano and keyboard manufacturers to provide a choice of keyboard size in new pianos sold throughout the world.

This website attempts to pool all relevant information - including the locations of universities and teachers providing pianos with alternatively sized keyboards (piano keyboards with narrower keys, NOT fewer keys) , a summary of relevant research, and key contacts. This is intended to assist pianists, parents and teachers lobby for change in their own parts of the world.

For more information about the PASK movement  (Pianists for Alternatively Sized keyboards), go to: www.paskpiano.org
